I do.......

This summer, I went to Illinois with my family to see my cousin get married. The wedding was beautiful, and my cousin, Nick, and his bride-to-be, Katie, seemed so happy. It got me wondering about how much effort is put into a wedding, but more importantly, what are the bride and groom going through.

The Bride
The crowd waiting through the doors
The tears running down your cheeks
The man you love standing at the aisle

The Groom
The crowd in front of you
Attempting to stay strong
The woman you love standing just behind the doors

an important decision before them
a choice
a life together
or a life apart
all binded by two simple words
"I do"

  2. I like this poem, it is short but sweet. The inspiration is really cute too. I think you really captured the feeling that two people getting married might have, not that I've been in that situation. But nice job.

  3. I really like this poem, Kelsey! I like how you made it from the bride's point of view and the groom's point of view. Good job!

  4. This was a cool poem. It was short, sweet, and really got the feeling across of what it's like to go through something like this. Like Cara said, I liked how you used two different points of view. Good job!
